REFLEXIONS IN THREE DIMENSIONS
To make our walk towards Easter lively, to work with one's whole being and let oneself be moved by the force of an image, this artistic Lent program has been offered to us. Three classic, well-known scenes, three dimensions that make up each of our lives were presented in order to revisit them from within.
At three different times during this Lent, we have been invited to contemplate, meditate and relive scenes of the Stations of the Cross with a different artistic approach for each.
Agony
Ana Bolt-Turrall, professional dancer living in Florida, invites us to set our bodies in motion for this first station of our three-dimensional reflection.
What is the color or texture of pain?
“We all go through different types of challenges, struggles, tears and times of anguish. In our suffering, we question ourselves and we are looking for meaning. In his mercy, Jesus takes upon himself all our burdens and, when we embrace our suffering, it is with him that we move forward.
To create this reflection on the move, I chose to dress in white because white is the sum of all colours in physics and, in the Garden, Jesus carried all the colors of our suffering.
While dancing on my knees, I embrace this suffering that is mine and I invite you to let your heart dance by watching this video.” (Ana Bolt-Turall) For more information…
Cross
Ana Bolt-Turrall invites us to move again towards Easter, with this second station of our reflection in three dimensions.

The cross: it is the power of God's love for our salvation. The challenges and deep wounds sometimes make us forget this disconcerting reality.
To reflect on the cross, I am dancing on rocks, because of the strong symbolism they evoke in my personal life: the trustworthiness, strength and wisdom of God. The black clothing symbolizes the absence of color because for me, a life without God is a life without color!
Let us embrace our cross with love and hope like Jesus and dance with joy on the way to the resurrection! For more information…

Struck by a rock
Of all the works that I saw on this evening in May, whether they were full in colors, in complexity, in symbolism, it was in front of a monochrome stone that my heart was uplifted.
Chagall. The impression I had of this artist, a contemporary of Picasso, boiled down to color and eccentricity. I then took advantage of the largest exhibition ever devoted to Marc Chagall in Canada, presented at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, to discover this Russian painter and printmaker of Jewish origin.
From room to room, we could appreciate the richness and diversity of his creations.
Splendid: I loved the sight of it, everything attracted me!
Suddenly, it’s as if my shoes became glued to the floor in front of a carved Rognes stone 52 cm high. I was touched, moved by Christ. For more information…
