Stop running and step on a millennial journey!

FROM MAY 16 TO 24, 2016, A GROUP OF 13 PILGRIMS HIT THE ROAD AND DISCOVERED HISTORIC SITES, A RECALL OF DEEP AND STRIKING EVENTS FROM THE PAST.

WHY PUY-EN-VELAY?

"This city is embedded like an amphitheater on the walls of a rock named Corneille. A huge and magnificent statue of Our Lady of France crowns the city harmoniously." (1)

  • To see Our Lady. Pilgrims from around the world come to trust in the maternal help of Our Lady since the Middle Ages…

  • For the rock of Espaly, that is both a Sanctuary and a Castle. A place full of history, through the ages, marked by the impact of Joseph of Good Hope!

  • To take the same departure route of the first pilgrim to Route of Santiago de Compostela, as from the Puy Cathedral in 951, and to experience an encounter with God, on the road through deprivation and silence!

  • To discover the landscape and its unique geography strewn with volcanic rocks shaping needles; pillars that bring us closer to heaven and renew our vision!

" At a glance, one can enjoy from these observation sites: a vast panorama, amongst the most beautiful in the world, taking place before our eyes!" (1)

AND LYON?

Located at the confluence of the Rhône and the Saône, Lyon is a city of great beauty with quite a remarkable cultural wealth.  Due to the dedication, sacrifices and faith of exceptional people, you will be surprised of what it has to offer!

Among those, we invite you on the Fourvière Hill to cross the same paths that Blessed Pauline Jaricot had walked in, a woman ahead of her time, and Pierre Bossan, an innovative and inspired architect. He was the key individual of this magnificent basilica of Fourvière, the soul of Lyon, whose crypt is rather distinctive.

"Since antiquity, the Fourvière Hill - the praying hill - is an important place of worship where beauty and architectural features impels us to an encounter with God in the midst of Lyon." (2)
