RETREAT: VISUAL ARTISTS

A pause for visual and making-image artists, in the intimacy of encounters in the very heart of nature, to help you rediscover the inspiration in the sight of the Creator and to deepen your artistic call in communion with the Church and the world. 18 visual artists participated in a retreat IN HIS OWN IMAGE on the weekend of October 4 to 6, 2019.

Creators of real or imaginary worlds, always with a pencil or a brush in the hand, constantly with a camera on the shoulder, chasing the perfect light to capture emotions, craftsmen harmonizing the words with the world of images, visual artists are often isolated in the creative process, but they need to connect to give what God asks of them: in relation with the Creator, with the artists who preceded them, with the Church and their contemporaries, in order to reveal the invisible.

During this weekend, with the Holy Trinity as a source of inspiration, and through the worlds of painting, photography, cinema, graphics, illustration, mosaic and iconography, the participants were invited to take part in a reflection on their identity as children of God, created in His own Image, in a climate of profound spiritual communion between heaven and earth. The retreat consisted of teaching and testimonial times, moments of prayer and inspirations in nature and artistic workshops.
