Midland, Ontario, Canada. In 1649, after three days (March 16-19) of prayers to Saint Joseph, the Huron village is saved from the attack of more than a thousand Iroquois who were suddenly overcome by a strange panic

More than 100 000 pilgrims come to visit the Martyrs' Shrine in Midland every year. Inside the church are the relics of the Canadian martyrs and the many walking canes and crutches hanging on the wall attest to the favors and healings obtained by the martyrs' intercession.
